  EKHUFT own the Buckland Hospital site ........Dover District Council own the Maison Dieu site....formally the Brook House site
  
  another DDC fiasco.
  
  From day one DDC have wanted to build the Hospital on their land..Masion Dieu site which enabled a land swop exercise
  
  with EKHUFT land at Buckland Hospital site.
  
  EKHUFT would get a `Hospital` in the centre of the town,and kick off DTIZ and DDC would build houses on the Buckland site.
  
  In September 2007 DDC were told that their site Maison DIEU was on a flood plain and it would not be permitted to build a
  
  Hospital on the land.
  
  In their desperation to keep to their plan they ignored the evidence of the flood plain.....wasting two and half years to build
  
  our Hospital.
  
  Even when the site was rejected the DDC ( Regeneration Manager and Planning dept ) were still stating their preferred
  
  site was still Maison Dieu site.in full Council and Scrutiny Committees.
  
  Politicians might know the facts or they do not or they,for convenience they do not.......time will tell.......
