i don't want this to sound like sour grapes but after 2 games where west ham totally outplayed manure the latter progress to the 4th round.

And I used to live near West Ham so I considered them my London team - later on Fulham took that on and who do we play next (mind you, Fulham seem to be a good source of players for us)

they do say that west ham come down like the christmas decorations brian. the problem is conditions in midwinter are not conducive to a pure footballing side.
hence the clodhoppers on two sides of manchester win the trophies, hope that i don't sound bitter.
