Granted, the Roma are a problem or might pose a problem......Bulgaria and Romania, for all their faults, have looked after 'the' Roma for centuries (perhaps not as well as it could have done or is doing?)....spared them, and the Jews an inevitable fate. I wonder what it really must feel like not to be wanted? Any place, any time? To feel like the plague of the earth?

Under the mighty almost 'monopolizing' power of the EU......Britain can hardly take Bulgarians and Romanians minus the Roma. At any rate, EU or not, it would be blatant discrimination.........So, where does it leave the situation?

Any chance of Britain helping to 'Educate the Roma' instead of sending millions, even billions, off to countries who no longer need it; or to countries, who hold out their right hand and thrust their sword into their donors with the left hand?

Then, maybe there would be more money in the respective Governments (BG and Ro) coffers to provide adequately for their native races...who would then not feel the need to 'baggit' off for a job and a better life in the UK ?

Roger Walken, we all come from Gypsy stock. The tribes roamed the earth, and subsequently settled, I am not going to give you a history lesson, you are, I assume far too educated for that.

The Roma's will integrate, they are a clever and resourseful people. Evenually, they will return to their own countries, as the Polish and many others are doing already.
