    Apart from which the bog trotters next door seem to be split into two tribes.

    There's the 'tick paddy and there's the occasional intellectual Yeats, Behan, Beckett etc etc (but not for many people - the etc. that is!)

    Personally I've never found anything spectacular in Irish verse apart from the fact that they were capable of writing something close to approximating poetry.

    Much the same goes for Wales where allegedly they are semi articulate and 'love' language yet the best they have is Dylan Thomas>
