This must be a sign of the austere times as I havent seen a metal detector guy for a long time. But this morning early, one isolated solitary figure made his way along the lonely cold beach...swinging his thingy this way and that...waiting for that pulsating bleep that tells him he has struck the jackpot.
The weather has been turbulent, the sea has been rough and angry, so maybe something..just maybe..just maybe something of worth has fetched up on Dover Beach.
On he goes in search of his valuable metal prey..even a bit of oul lead piping is valuable these days, unwittingly disturbing as he goes, the sleep of the homeless underneath the Seasports Centre. Well, it offers a bit of shelter. You can just see the vagabonds to the right in picture below. Its long range though.
