Get up and run around during the advert breaks? You could bake a cake in the time these ads run including sourcing the ingredients...I suppose a brisk walk to the shops would not be a bad thing though.

the link mentioned smoking and obesity then side stepped drinking before they picked on the telly.
i think that the point that the article did not make clear was that exercise is important as a balance to watching the box.

What the article made a big splash about was that viewing figures have never been better and dented this only slightly with mention of...was it active or inactive... walking during the ad breaks.
I wonder if watching ads with a higher level of activity in them counts as exercise?

No Brian but walking to the pub counts, so therefore many more visits to the pub required in order to achieve maximum benfit and a longer life..then you can watch tele when you come back.

It now appears that a glass of wine a day can help you lose weight according to some boffins from Boston University.
Unfortunately it doesn't mean the more you drink the more weight you lose dearie me no but apparently it sets up some chemical reaction. The full report is here if you can be bothered to read it or you may just decide to pour yourself another glass of vino....

Looking on that link (thanks Marek, I like a glass of red wine), I noticed that on the right-hand side, it said that Sally Bercow, the Speaker's wife is in BB - she must be mad - and he's not too pleased either.

Roger
The clamour for five minutes of fame by Sally Bercow apparently outweighs her duties as the Speakers wife. A sad reflection on todays society.
