Congratulations to Leicester but what a shameful performance from Chelsea and Spurs. Never seen so many yellow cards.

Well done to Leicester.
The thing that has really struck me as one of the best things looking at the tv reports this morning are the multi cultural faces of the fans all celebrating together.

My Daughter has lived in the Midlands for over twenty years working in the NH S .Yes all races and creeds and colour of skin is irrevelant. Here in Dover locals are less accepting. When I lived In Slough in the sixties my eldest son thought all postman were coloured so coming to Dover was an eye opener.

"Here in Dover locals are less accepting."
I find that comment quite offensive Sue Dover has always been a very accepting town of any colour or creed, maybe less so than some of the more culturally diverse towns around the country but there to my knowledge has never been a racism issue in Dover.

Not going by social media Reg, some of the hatred towards anyone foreign is well over the top with many believing that we are inundated with outsiders when in fact at the last count 97% of Dover district is white European with about half of the rest being British born Asians.

I prefer to go by what i see and hear with my own eyes and ears and other than the media stoked anti immigrant sentiments among the uneducated of Dover see no signs of non acceptance.

Not just Dover the UKIP North Thanet Facebook page showed photos of "Islamists" swigging Vodka and beer direct from bottles close by Buck House. Tried to convince them that they were in fact from Romania and Bulgaria but their minds were made up.
I used to live in a heavily multi racial area with many different religions and sects with far right groups coming in from outside trying to stir things, only a very few people were taken in.

Anyone like myself who has come from London or similar mixed race area should to be more tolerant those those who have never left their possibly insular little community.
A few years ago I worked as a volunteer with a lovely highly educated Indian lady who was also a volunteer and was a joy to work with, while those who had never worked with a "foreigner" only spoke to her when they had to. They missed out big time on some interesting and informative conversations.

A lot has been said about Claudio Ranieri and his down to earth charm and I have a memory that can vouch for that. Back in 2004(I think) I was on a packed channel ferry and Ranieri instead of paying the 10 quid to go in the private lounge used the main bar. He was manager of Chelsea at the time and instantly recognisable - he spent the next 80 hours chatting to everyone and signing autographs without ever looking flustered despite being besieged, I was most impressed.
Sorry 80 minutes.
