  must have been at least 50 in the convoy, some motor homes and some were caravans drawn by cars.
  
  diversions forced them onto the folkestone road, whether they were loaded up with euros so the greeks couldn't get hold of them or whether they were returning hime is a mystery.

  Do we know whether these are German tourists, or travellers bearing German number plates?
  Folkestone Road would seem their usual destination in this case.

  good question alex though i think they were being diverted to the eastern docks.
  
  unless of course they were en route to annexing the sudetenland.
