The Town and District Councils have certain responsibilities it is true and section 215s is one thing DDC can work on and are doing just that. They are also of course the LPA and their Planning Officers have been very good in their judgements and the Regeneration Manager works tirelessly.

The Town Council come up with ideas about what they want to do and then decide which ones they'll be involved in and are helping with funding for the 215s, the new fountain (but I'd like that to stay and be able to be funded for the forseeable future) and of course the move of the VIC to the Museum. They are also facilitating the Town Team meetings and as far as I am aware, the, Town Clerk, The Mayor (if not on a previous engagement) and Sue Jones are in attendance too.

The Town Team have chosen who is in and who is not and I am not, so I am not in the loop and not interfering and so cannot offer any information on what is happening.

I appreciate it is like a broken record, but unless, or until, a Town-Team Manager is appointed (and funded), it IS tickling around the edges; there are many things that such a manager could be doing - talking to businesses for one thing, gaining their trust and support; also moving the Town forward on a whole range of initiatives, including Tourism and turning Dover into a destination with Group Travel.
Lots of bodies and people to talk to.

I cannot be involved in any of the above anymore, apart from the District Council part. It's not so much a complaint as a statement.
