  It's not all black and white Howard. Goes back to Leveson Inquiry and the 'phone hacking'.

  No one would doubt the need to control the excesses of some of the national tabloids but broadsheets and the local press rarely overstep the mark. It appears that there will be more than one press regulator which I find confusing and I cannot see it being fair and reasonable if someone decides not be under the protection of a regulator paying all court costs even though they have won their case.

  An interesting question is if IPSO is still a 'voluntary' organisation if one is coerced into joining?
  
  Personally I'm for maximum freedom of speech and print and would much prefer the American system with protection by the First Amendment allied with laws against defamation.
