    As I mentioned on a previous posting, the thoughts are that because there will be events on most week-ends next summer and the fountain is not generally turned on until around April, they won't turn it on at all because they fear an accident to someone or the fountain.

    I believe this permanent closure (for 2012) is completely unnecessary - and wrong.
