    colette mentions people power and it did work back in 2002.

    things are different now the idea is to close for one year only to make way for "events".

    not sure how that works as the fountain will still be "in situ".

    anyway getting back to the situation the fountain will be boarded up for 18 months and then supposedly reopened.

    we will then be told that it is in a bad way and too expensive to repair or parts are not available.
