    I'm no expert, but surely the landlord of the building currently occupied by M&S shouldn't have too many problems in marketing a property that has served the current tenant well for over 100 years. I am sure there are plenty of retailers who would be interested in its prime location, close to the town's bus terminus, etc. I would have thought it's all down to the marketing.
