A Spitfire flew over parts of Kent today in memory and respect of those who fought in the Battle of Britain.
We all owe so much to those pilots who kept Hitler at bay 70 years ago at a time when the Country had it's back against the wall.
Total Respect to the Few.

Here here Harry. We owe so much to "the few" who fought and died for us. I hope future generations will also respect them and remember them.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

Well said Harry, but let us not forget the Wellington bomber crews who were bombing Berlin at the same time. They angered and embarrassed Hitler into bombing our cities instead of airfields, giving Fighter Command a much needed breathing space.
Our hats go off to all of them, and a great debt of gratitude is owed to those who survived, and those who didn't come home.

Yes, and very glad to see that a very suitable flag is flying above the town hall.
