    Brian:
"Palestine is also mentiond in the bible, Israel is not"
Just about sums it all up. And probably explains your misguided views on the subject of Israel and Palestine.

Tom, we all descend from Adam and Eve.

The Falkland Islanders are of Anglo-Celtic origin. As too are the People of Kent.

However, Tom, the specific links between Jews and some other populations in the Middle East could be explained by their linguistic history: Syrians, Phoenicians (Lebanese), Assyrians and Babylonians spoke Aramaic languages, and Aramaic is very similar to Hebrew.

When a part of the Jews returned from the Babylonian Exile after 70 years, they were speaking Aramaic rather than Hebrew, having picked up the spoken language of the Babylonians, which is why Jesus, some 550 years later, spoke Aramaic. Hebrew remained the language of the Scriptures.
Aramaic-speaking Jews could easily converse with their Aramaic-speaking neighbours.

Abraham came from the city of Ur in Sumeria, where Aramaic was spoken.
And Isaac's wife, Rebecca, and Jacob's wives, also descend from the Sumerians.
Ur would be in the south of modern Iraq, also known as Mesopotamia.
