Further reading your post I was long standing in the party, but theres lots more done a lot more years, some still active.
I did my 25 odd years, enjoyed most of it, but felt it was time to have some family time and that couldnt happen all the time i was on the council()s)
Could I also add I made many friends within the Tory/lib dem parties over that time, and worked closely with a lot of them.
There were times in working groups/scrutiny/council at KCC DDC where you would not know which party was in control as all parties worked together.
i'M enjoying MY time now, looking in from the outside.
When on occassions i attend town/District/county
I want to scream at those present
but I hold my breath, smile, and think,
