  Whatever rocks you boat Alex. You can call them Martians for all I care but whatever way you address them it does not escape the fact that most of our essential services are owned and run by foriegn concerns. Instead of worrying about what the Dutch or French call themselves you should be more concerned with what happens to all the money they make. It goes out of this country to investors in Europe who then spend or re-invest it in their own country.
  
  So the UK end up paying not only for essential services but indirectly subsisdising theirs.
