  I guess there are children who have never seen a mouse before. Reminds me of the time my goddaughter said that the tea bag had broken when we were in a posh hotel having afternoon tea as she had never seen loose tea in a teapot, only tea bags!
  
  I like having a mouse when I use my pc but it has to be cordless. When I am out for the day or away I happily swipe at my i pad. I never got on with those roller ball things on laptops nor the square built in mouse some of them have. I used to (grudgingly) take a USB mouse with me, but I always found they fell apart quickly and I'd be frantically crawling under a hotel table trying to find the ball bit which inevitably dropped out and rolled under the furniture!

  Yes, the younger generation can't be bothered with a mouse, both my daughters don't like them. I on the other hand prefer it, being of the older generation Like Jeane, I can't be doing with the square build in mouse on my laptop.

  I just hate touch pads, they are dreadful things and will always attach a mouse to a laptop. As for touchcreeens, utterly infuriating - another utter pain in the neck....
  
  Technology does move on and maybe in 10 years today's children will be saying what I say about touchscreens regarding whatever tech replaces them.....
  
  Something of a change of subject but still regarding what many children don't bother with...
  
  This reminds me of how some children start school without knowing what a knife and fork are, or how to use them... More important than a computer mouse.......

  I don't like touch screens although I can see how they can work for an ipad or phone. For a desktop computer though with a large screen I can't think of anything better than a mouse.
