    We do tend to do things a bit differently in our house - it's my Old Man who does the shopping and the Christmas prep, and it was him who stayed at home for the first 6 months after our first child was born. We swapped about a bit after the rest started to arrive, though, and we tend to share jobs out on the basis of our skills and availability rather than our gender. Radical!!!!!!!
