Initially, I thought it must have been an old advert but the photo here shows the pub all painted up with no shutters so I can only assume it's current.
Going by this weeks Dover Express, I thought it was only The Bull at Eastry that he was closing but obviously not!
Sorry, can't remember how to make it a live link!

Guys yes I saw the story about the pub in Eastry and i thought it was just that one too. Clearly the pub in Eastry couldnt make money without a music license and the villagefolk objected to the noise so no music in the end. Difficult days.

Some better news on the pub front, the Lydden Bell has been sold and I've heard the new owner is hoping to reopen before Easter.

Howard, that was The Hope, plans for 4 houses on the car park and reduced size of pub.

pleased to hear that ray, whilst you local residents are in the pub the sheep get some time to themselves.

Taken from Howard's link..........."The owner of The Castle Inn, Paul McMullan, said: "It is a shame, I had 50 applications for his job and he was the best one."..........It does not say much for the other applicants or should that be the owner's dubious judgement.
