    It had a lot of problems with the water table. Cellar flooding and the building was sinking. Some years previous to the demolition I worked in the Astor Dental Clinic and the floor in one of the rooms was dug up trying to find out what was going on underground. The Clinic had cracks in the walls, believed to be caused by the movement of Brook House.
