I am with Barry on this one; as long as 12 people true give the Guilty verdict or the person admits guilt then the death penalty it should be, especially with people who carry out child murders, several murders or terrorist acts.
I think you have tried to answer this for me before Barry, but I still cannot understand if someone carries out an act of terrorism in this Country and hold a British Passport or have been accepted as a Citizen in this Country why are they not tried for Treason. We are as such at war and if people carry out acts for the known enemy against the Nation then surly that is Treason and is not the death penalty still there for treason.
It cannot be justice that someone can put a bomb on say public transport and kill 10, 20 100 people and maybe walk away. Then if they get caught we just put them in prison because it's wrong for the State to take that mass murders life.
I just wonder how people who do not agree with the death penalty would think (God forbid) if one of their own was murdered, I know I would want the murderer of one of my own put down and I do not think I would have a problem pulling the handle.
