jim,the york street roundabout and the western hieghts roundabout are a mile apart roghly speaking, and the traffick is still coming to the latter.unless of course york street roundabout has been moved without highways telling us.i just wish the papers get things right before they publish.they [the km/de jurnos ]only have to come up here to see the chaos that prseeds these acidents.

Yes Howard, traffic is being advised to use A2 and Folkestone Rd.
We were on our way to Aycliffe this morning, going up past Archcliffe fort. At the Western heights roundabout the police would not let us go up there so we had to go back round and up Military Hill.
Also why was traffic not turned round at the York Street roundabout? Seemed daft to me to let all those big lorries go all the way up the hill and then turn them back? Very strange.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

Common sense says shut the York Street roundabout, just need someone with common sense to make the decisions
