Not exactly a surprise with this group now almost dead.
All I now need is somewhere still alive and kicking with interesting informative up to date posts..... unlike another group I am in which is over moderated.

This is such a shame but as so many seem to have lost the will to keep this once wonderful group active not a surprise.
I will still look in just in case it has a rebirth,,,,,, But as even the owner shows no interest I am not going to hold my breath..

I'm shocked that this USAID $$$$ business has reached this far. Maybe when the UK Foreign Office takes up the slack with our taxes they'll be back.
I would never have guessed.

Well I think it will be a great shame to loose the forum. It was local.Maybe not always easy to find a topic of interest but it was a small group of people.sharing views.I found Jans contribution interesting .We all miss Ian and even Bob comes up with interesting topics.I write a Mrs Dales diary but that is not political.

When I was at school I used to go home for lunch. On the "wireless" then was Midday Music Hall or Workers' Playtime. Music was by the Stargazers. After the news there was just time to hear who the guest was on Desert Island Discs before I rushed back.

What lovely long forgotten memories.
I suffered the awful school dinners so only heard Workers Playtime during the holidays.
BTW Jerome Kern wrote Look For The Silver Lining

It's good to see all posting
But I recognise even with my posts people choose to part read or just condemn it
Usually because they hold a different view .
It's good to have differing views but for a lot of posters they were unable to accept all views
ALL POSTS ARE MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS
