  Been like that in Canterbury for a few years now with feral youths doing what they want. A lively town/city centre needs policing and there are just not enough officers to keep control.

  It just shows - we're all like it really, but I think Canterbury get more than their fair share due to the Uni and College though.

  Wasn't helped of course by one of the London Councils (Lewisham? Lambeth?) buying up a load of old government housing in Canterbury and moving a lot of of their (possibly) problem tenants their. Iirc.

  I was at school in Canterbury all through the 1960s and it was the same then. That was before UKC was founded so there were few students above school age. Most of the aggro then was either mods v rockers or local skinheads v the Army lads from Howe Barracks.
