I have been told that a very well know town and district cllr and in the pass wrote on the forum has now left Dover for good and living in one of the Medway towns,if that is true then a ward has lost a very good cllr a person who helped them alot and I have worked with some years ago on the town council I would think that person will be hard to replace on both councils,as I said I might be wrong and hope I am but I think the news is right.

All thoroughly, utterly mystifying. Happily, the world still seems to be turning on its axis, which is good news, up to a point.

John Goodwin is living somewhere else temporarily, but staying on at the council. He says he will continue at least to the end of his term

Hi everyone yes it is true sort of!!! My marriage is over and I have taken temporary accommodation out of the Town.but that is far as the rumours goes.I am still working in the Town and attending meetings as I have always done subject to work.It has been a difficult time with My Mum suffering with cancer and my Brother having some of his leg removed. So I have taken accommodation away from the Town and hope to carry on doing my best for the Town while I can,I will also be staying at my Mum's once in a while.Rumours of me running away with another Cllr are untrue I know who is telling that one and it is a lie.So there it is a non story really.

You'll come through it John. All the best for the future. You're a survivor.
