18:2611302Thanks for that Howard. After a slowish start it turned out to be a good 'do' with a wide spread of people, a sizeable proportion of our total membership turned out as well as assorted councillors and so forth. Even late arrivals like Mike Webb and Scotchie were surprises as neither said they could make it but managed in the end. Was really good to see everybody. Am recovering today..or trying, running slow on pictures but will get there.
Colette runs the show on parties abley assisted by 'posh' BWS. So a well done to them.

22:0011358The time for the boxing day dip is midday.
Just go to the front where the new buiding is going up for the sea sports.
I know I said I would go in again this year but because of the Status Quo,s story and my part in it I have not done anything wrong but might be best if I stayed away, I can not make up my mind yet please do not think that I am in hiding, but I have no wish at this time of the year to fall out with anyone over that story, that will come later I am sorry to say.
If I do not turn up the £40 will still go out it is not alot but some is better than none.
I remain yours faithfully Vic Matcham.
I was at a event last weekend with my wife when a well know person came to my table and was very unpleasant most of the public there did over hear it all going on and for the very first time about all this I was geting angry.
I have no wish to let it happen again next Friday, I think I will stop there.

22:4711360Thought you were coming to hold my hand Vic
So far we have raised about £100 but ideally would like it to be much more, so anyone willing to sponsor me and the DCAL girls in aid of Dover carnival 2009 and Crohns research, you really will be supporting a good cause
Whoever was nasty to you at a public event should have restrained themself. It is not the time nor the place to be shouting at each other, as I have said before. I think anyone with some integraty will refrain from any bad comments. It is an event the day after Christmas when we should all be enjoying ourself. I think you should be there Vic. A dip without Vic is like bread without butter.

Christmas time is about Peace and Goodwill to all men especially at this time of year.If people are so small minded and petty about a bit of harmless fun then its they that should absent themselves from "do's" and events not you.
Your intentions were best placed and that's all that matters.
So may I and my family wish you and your wife a very Happy Holy and Peaceful Christmas.Natascha will be at the Boxing Day Dip but because she is none too well will be unable to partake in the Dip.So we would appreciate it if you could take a dip on her behalf and DCal.Thanks.
