Well Colin how about the following High Speed internatioanl services/providers:
Since 1996 there has been the Thalys service that runs between Brussels and Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne - also calling at such places as Antwerp, Bruge, Ghent, Liege, Mons, Namur, Zavantem, Aachen, Charles de Gaulle, Schiphol and Rotterdam.
The TGV operates throughout France and also runs services to Brussels, Switzerland, Germany (Frankfurt, Munich & Stuttgart) and North Eastern Italy.
Austrian Railways runs the RailJet high speed service from Budapest to Munich via Vienna and the Vienna - Salzburg - Zurich route with more planned.
Deutsche Bahn has run the ICE services throughout Germany since 1989 and to Basel, Zurich, Innsbruck, Brussels, Liege, Amsterdam, Paris, Aarhus, Copenhagen & Vienna.
In addition to these there all the EuroCity services run by most train operators throughout Europe
