There's a large food retailer not so far from us with two branches within very easy walking distance. They sell the same products, give or take, but at different prices. A reduction in one was 55p dearer in the other, another different item was reduced for a quick sale to stay in date - the other outlet was charging the same price for the same item but well-in-date.
Methinks one needs a degree in local history and maths history these days to go shopping and not get caught out.
PS How many grandchildren do you have now, our Brian?
