Telephone scam

I don't answer as it might be one of those where a large sum of money is added to the phone bill on account of it.

28 September 2015 18:31286623When i get a call on our landline i stay quite till the other person answers as many of the nuisance automated calls are voice activated and only start when you speak.I,ve seriously been thinking of giving up our landline as all we ever seem to get is nuisance calls. - 28 September 2015 19:31286624Sounds like mine I only keep the land line for the Internet connection and I suspect I am not alone.

I find it quite amusing, which is at odds to their intended use which is to Instil us with reassurance that they are 'one of us.'
I once had a Chinese business contact at Gatwick Airport called Albert. He was a very nice person but it felt rather strange addressing him using this very English name!
