  I have a number of phone calls from a number starting with 0042.any ideas.

  I get some that start 0000 then followed by another 15 digits, some sort of scan so I never pick the phone up.

  I think this is one to,keeps saying I have down load errors on my computer and they want to help me fix them.

  If they start with 00 they are from overseas. Make a note of the number and Google it - that way you can usually find out what scam it is.

  A quick check on the BT website shows that 00420 numbers are Czech Republic, 00421 Slovakia and 00423 Liechtenstein.
