I was thinking earlier about how things have changed over the years, when I started school teachers used to be people covered in chalk dust and so low paid that they lived in lodgings normally. Nowadays things are very different, a reasonably well paid profession but classes are more difficult to control.

I can remember my first teachers, Mr Osmotherly, Miss Jacoby and Miss Knight, tellingly they chose teaching over having a private life.
