    Pensioners incomes are taxed only if they are over £10,500 over 65 and £10,660 if over 75, with their extra age allowance reduced gradually if they have taxable income over £25,400 to the same level as the rest of us (£8,105 this year). They also do not pay National Insurance either.

    True some elderly people who do not know better are paying more tax than they need and this is where some tax avoidance advice comes in, something I am pleased to help pensioners with frequently.

    Another rather sad post from Reg that simply does not stand up to detailed examination.
