    Woopee for "low and middle earners". I imagine that upping the personal allowance gives the same modest boost to all earners. Though some may here or there have some clawed back...maybe.

    This too may well keep wages down or even lower them. Some employers will be quick to realise that this move on PA will raise the take-home pay and by lowering the gross pay on offer shall seek to profit?

    Plan 'b' perhaps.
