Spotted this in the Times just now:-
Perhaps Bond City will buy it, demolish Charlton Centre, put a hoarding round it and tell us that Sainsbury's are coming back, eventually.

Doesn't bode well for the Charlton Centre does it ?
I doubt if their financial problems were caused by the millions they have (not) poured into it. Or maybe they have ?

They also have Centre Point in their portfolio, I seem to remember that was an empty white elephant for years.

Apparently this only applies to one division of the company and not the part which owns Chalton shopping centre.
Administrators are Deloitte.
A statement says: "Deloitte is working closely with all stakeholders to support the ongoing management of the properties. This is a holding company appointment only, and the property owning companies continue to trade as normal. Arrangements are being made for the continuation of all property management services on an ongoing basis, and we expect no interruption to services for tenants."

Having said that whilst they may not be formally in administration, the ultimate fate of these companies will depend on the corporate structure; look at what happened to Connaught and its operating companies.
