The post you are reporting:
While I readily acknowledge that phone hacking into someones personal messages is not very nice, I cant bring myself to have much sympathy for those celebs who have been hacked. They are certainly 'hacked off' its true, but isnt it now just another BIG earner for them. People who already have stacks of money are now on a huge windfall for yet more money because some part of their dignity is affronted.
Everyone from Sienna Miller to Andy Gray stand to make stacks of money here at the expense of the News of the World, yet they live their lives pleading for newspaper coverage.
Some of us, if the truth be told, have never seen Sienna Miller in anything, but now she is a household name, you couldnt buy this kind of publicity, she is featured in every news bulletin all day long. Normally you have to pay for this kind of publicity but she is both getting the publicity and the one being paid. The boot is on the wrong foot.
I couldnt condone phone hacking or anything like that, I wouldnt like it to happen to you or me, but somehow the affronted celebrity personages whingeing on our TV screens night and day are hard to sympathise with, as they make stacks of money with often minimum talent and are where they are in most cases because of newspapers.
So I know it is probably a bit perverse to say this in the current climate but I have sympathy for Rupert and the News of the World!
