I took this picture this morning of the sunrise shortly after it made itself visible around the cliffs...but interestingly when I looked at it later on the computer I noticed a crucifixion in the middle of the shot. Eyesight not being too good anymore I didnt actually notice it at the time of taking the picture..but there we are..very symbolic and on this very day too. Good Friday.

Super moving photo PaulB. I took the wife to work this morning and regretted not having the camera with me. She works in Gorey in the Eastern side of the island and the sun in all it's glory was blazing and rising over the castle.
A strange fact to ponder this Easter but during the 'big bang' when earth was flung into space had the earth come to a halt a second earlier or later then earth as we know it would not exist. It would either be too hot or too cold to sustain life. May your God go with you.

Stunning, glorious photo, PaulB. Today really is a time for reflection. I am in Ireland sorting out graves, estates, burglary stuff - forced to reflect. Not a bad thing.............
Thanks for the photo.

Bern & clan
Have a happy and holy Easter. By the sounds of it you are doing your very own stations of the cross.

Yes the picture had an unexpected theme indeed. Looking directly into the sun I didnt see anything but the sun as it were...so was pleasantly surprised later, very appropriate for the day.
Bern good luck with those things in Ireland. Always very difficult. Hope all goes okay over there.
Thanks Paul - that is appreciated.

Yes good luck from me too Bern, hope all goes well for you and Happy Easter from me too.
Paul that photo is fantastic, a real beauty, thanks for sharing it with us. As many have said on this thread, it is a time of reflection and for putting things into perspective so a peaceful sunrise is just what we need. Good to slow down and forget the everyday things for a little while.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
