)
in kearsney abbey together with going for a lovely meal on other occassions at the cafe(lovely to)
but don't know if anyone else experienced the large number of swans,
intimidating to many.
wonder if anyone else has any views on this

16:5987722last time i was there i thought that there seemed to be too many for the size of the lake.
i like them but some people can be intimidated by them when they are in great numbers.

17:0987726They're wild animals, if you don't like them stay away from them. Otherwise enjoy having them there.
There used to be a problem with them being overfed but most of that has now stopped now, and when the park gets crowded they retreat to the lake.

17:1787731there are signs asking people not to throw too much bread in, the uneaten stuff was attracting rats.
gping off the subject slightly a few years back in ilford a swarm of canada geese moved onto an island that the swans has always lived on.a few days after this happened one of the geese was taking her brood out for a swim when this almighty racket broke out.
a swan swooped onto the lake and bounced two or three times completely covering the geese and terrifying the young.
the geese left the island soon after.
