From super Saturday to sad Sunday.
Strange that - tonight is supposed to be one of the highlights of the games with the 100 metre dash probably drawing more interest than the rest of the circus.
The giant telly which was "given" to us all was supposed to have drawn a throng of heaving masses eager to watch the spectacle.
Well it will come as a great shock to LOCOG that only fifteen or so managed to stand, or sit, to watch this spectacular tonight. Three of those were paid marshals and four consisted of the local wine and cider appreciation society.
Does anyone have any idea if those of superior intellect at DDC plan on removing the giant telly once the games have finished?
It would be a great shame if they decided to keep it there. I mean it's not part of the, erm, cough cough, regeneration scheme is it? I did read that Burlington house would be demolished sometime within the next three centuries - or was that three years. Or was it that they would wait three years and then have another think about it?
