Well, first weekend back in Blighty, Who turned the heating off?

Took Hazel and Cheryl to The Duck at Petts Bottom (nr Bridge) for Sunday lunch. The food and service was superb in every way, and then I saw the blue placque outside (can't smoke indoors, even in a pub!!! Nigeria 1 - 0 UK).

Anyway, it seems Ian Fleming wrote "You Only Live Twice" there back in 1964. There is a genuine well and set of stocks outside too, so quite a nice country pub feel about the place. Had a pint of Whitstable beer to wash the food down and that was good too.

Now back inthe warm centrally heated house and beginning to relax and pour my thoughts (for what they're worth) into DoverForum.
