  Peter, it all depends if you are buying convenience foods or not.
  
  Marks are very expensive for fresh produce that is just as good and cheaper as you have said in the independents. Time to plug the Charlton Centre butchers again, he had some lovely duck and goose eggs the other day.
  
  I must say Marks are value for money for the couple of times I have bought convenience items.
