For all the campaign of Think bike!! (often it makes me- Think Tw%t!!)
It is the dam stupid ones that insist on overtaking while there is oncoming traffic, just been subject to 2 instances and witnessed a third, when the cars are going at the speed limit. Why should car drivers be constantly told about bikers when they (bikers) cannot even abide by the rules themselves endangering others.

At weekends I regularly get overtaken by bikers on the A256 between Whitfield and the Barville roundabout. I am doing 70-ish but they go by like I am standing still, 150mph a reasonable estimate.

Here we go again. No it is a question of stupid and thoughtless road users whether they be cyclists, car drivers, bike riders and yes even pedestrians.
I use all of these forms of transport. I daresay I have been guilty of carelessness on occasions and probably impatience too. As indeed have most people if they are honest about it.
White lining at 100mph plus-not a good idea. Stepping off the pavement onto a cycle path in front of me-most unwelcome. Reversing into my bike whilst I was stationary on 2 separate occasions within 2 months in 2012-really quite annoying. Overtaking and hitting me head on, on my bicycle some years ago (and he was a policeman!) really quite painful.
Cars going around traffic islands on the wrong side of the road-not ideal. Cyclists jumping traffic lights- just wrong. Cars following me so closely that I can't even see the number plate in my mirror-very common and very dangerous. Cars (usually) pulling out in front of me because they have not looked properly and/or are in a hurry-very common-every day.
Me pulling out in front of a car on a roundabout because I did not look carefully enough-guilty. Driving too quickly and cycling dangerously when I was much younger-guilty.
Why don't we all just calm down and acknowledge that we are all fallible. Rats when thrown together in dense populations will attack each other. So it is on our congested and poorly maintained roads. I daresay that we have all been guilty of poor driving. The important thing is that we all learn from it.
If by some miracle we could all do two things safety would be greatly enhanced.
1 Allow a 2 second gap (more in the wet) between you and the vehicle in front
2 When joining a road, look, look again and when you think you have looked enough, look yet again!!

Then they should change the campaign so it educates all the road users and not just focusing on users watching out for di$&head bikes. Yes there are those that ride very well usually those on non sport bikes or lawn mower powered versions. But 95 out of 100 of those riders that I see on the road ride like idiots. Even car drivers as had one snake through 3 cars down the slip road at capel junction of the A20 dover bound. They should put average speed check cameras at all slip roads on and off so then speeding would be stopped, even put them in and out of towns as it is the worst thing so many people speeding and being inpatient.
