  a strike can on'y be successful if it gets some support from the general public, at present public sector workers are deemed to have better pensions than those in the priate sector.
  
  any industrial action would not help their cause, even ed b*lls and red ed have seen this as playing into the the cobbled together coalitions hands.
  
  the leaders should know better.
