Well thats a typical Daily Mail feature to try and deflect the issue onto something else, away from the governments handling of the crises. Sure some people get higher salaries at the top of their fields but thats life. The higher up the scale you go in all walks of life the more you get. But its not the issue.
Here's a pic of top trade union man Brendan Barber
What we have here is very moderate people from all walks of rank and file life getting shafted out of their pensions. They work for many years at lower pay in all mainstream services knowing that they will get a solid pension, but now with HMG moving the goalposts they are left frustrated and angry.
The Tories wheel out Frances Maude every time, and he spouts the same thing..that these workers get a better pension than everyone else. Thats a spin, thats half the story. The pensions may be better but they have put in the years in difficult jobs on lower than mainstream pay. The pension is their compensation for a long life of public service.
Frances Maude is not a good exponent of Public Relations. Am baffled as to why Cameron puts him forth. He is not one to smooth things over, he comes across as a ruffler of feathers while having all the hallmarks of the silver spoon in the gob brigade, and seems to forever misunderstand the worries of the working people he is dealing with.
