Does anyone have a phone number for a stretch limo - for a short trip in June for my son's prom

We are becoming very Americanised - a school prom used to mean a school musical concert. Mind you it would have been difficult having a 'prom' at my old school as it was all boys Even the female roles in the school plays were acted by lads.

Good luck with finding a limo and the prom

I used Kent Limos last July for Victoria's class when they left school and was very impressed with the service, admin and driver.

My brother went to Bedes around the time of Peter Noone from Hermans Hermits. I went to St Gregorys (Frasiers dad from the hit US comedy went there also. Do you remember the other all boys Catholic Grammar school in Manchester?.............Ambrose

Funny enough it was only yesterday that I received my invite to the annual old boys reunion...

I am a prodydog and not Catholic but lots of my mates went to St. Bedes, Xaverian and St.Gregorys, all Catholic schools. I don't recall the Ambrose school.

I went to Manchester Central High School for boys (Whitworth St.) The only famous person who went there, apart from me, was Robert Donat the old film star.

There was no segregation of religions in Manchester, we all got on together unlike some places in the UK. Do you remember the Whit week walks ?, Protestants on Whit Monday and Catholics on Whit Friday and the Italian community on Whit Sunday. Great days out, the city came to a standstill. I cannot imagine it happening these days.

I think we are a little bit off topic here, sorry boss.

Correct,we were lucky that religion played no part in dividing the community there was enough rivalary twix Utd and City fans The Whit walks were brillant we all got dressed up and the city came to a standstill. Tib st,Oxford rd, Manchester circular library,free trade hall. The Shambles pub is still there having been stilted and moved twice, once for the building of Arndale centre and then again after the bombing. A Jerseyman and friend of mine was in there last week and couldn't believe the prices of beer £1.46p a pint for real ale and its a free house.

I then went to work at Scottish Life House next to the Crown Court back of Deansgate and Kendalls, where the Home Office had 2 floors which we hoped were hidden from the IRA in the insurance building. Bestie had an interest in a barbers shop over the road and we used to say Hi to him as we passed on the way to the Waggon and Horses pub for lunch and a jar.. He drove a black Jensen Inferceptor in those days. I never dreamed of asking him for his autograph as we saw him so often.

Ah the summer of 76 in Manchester....great times

If that is a recent photo of Peter Noone, he looks very good - well preserved; not much different to the days of "I'm into something good" etc.

Yeah Jenn he is sure is - he may not look it but he is LOL :) he will need to have photo ID for some time I think haha :)

I will get contact numbers from you - but I don't think i will be able to get one - it is so expensive and it is for probably for less than an hour at that.

Plus I need to be looking at hiring a Tux - can't imagine it be worth buying one for my little man who still only looks 13 - awww bless him :) x x

MAS garage on Crabble Hill run a white stretch limo and believe they are getting a pink one. Phone number 07765-326228.

Mark, the chap who runs the garage, is the son of Sylvia who runs the Hospice Shop.
