    Some of the County members have responded.I appreciate this.Oneperson on River Face book page does not consider Whitfield Hill is a rat run.My understanding is if you need to get on the A 20!One would travel on the A2 down past the docks and up via Aycliffe.The -Alkham Valley road was never built for all the traffic which flows constantly .There are no traffic lights at the junction with London Road and there is the low bridge.
    It's time Temple Ewell and River Parish Council got together to sort out the problems .Still some prefer a quiet life.
