Thought I would raise this as PaulB mentioned on another thread that farmers were complaining about the wet winter and the knock on effect on crops.
I have bought three lots in the past few weeks, all from different shops, and they have been the best I can remember tasting and are still good after the best by date.

You must live a more healthy lifestyle than me Roger, I soak mine in sugar and put a dollop of ice cream over them.

Both options sound yummy to me. Roger's for breakfast and Howard's for tea.

I'm a diabetic Howard so I wouldn't be putting sugar on them - but I used to when I was a kid. I love icecream and chocolate too but, but not too often.

Our village pub, Plough & Harrow here in Tilmanstone had a home made strawberry cheesecake on the menu today with a choice of home made ice creams too (Bob chose blackcurrant - delicious).

Don't tempt me Kath - I'm not very good at resisting temptation - on food.

Amongst her home made ice creams Jenny makes liquorice (aniseed flavour), which is lovely.

Thanks Kath.
The song - the title anyway, always remind me of Jean; she's always on my mind. Been over a year now.

How time flies and I hope you are mending Roger, I still get choked when I hear certain songs and I was widowed over 10 years ago.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
