  I can still remember the awful smell when treated human waste was used on the fields around Tilmanstone Village.
  
  There was a real problem as the stuff was on the well used public footpaths as well as on the fields. In spite of all the assurances from the official bodies that there were no health dangers I do not think anyone was totally convinced.
  
  I expect Kath will remember all the fuss at the time especially as the whole village was affected.
