Not noticed it in my part of town except for the odd burst not lasting long but how do the farmers spreading it not get taken ill?
They may wear protective masks when actually doing it but they live next to it when not working.

I can still remember the awful smell when treated human waste was used on the fields around Tilmanstone Village.
There was a real problem as the stuff was on the well used public footpaths as well as on the fields. In spite of all the assurances from the official bodies that there were no health dangers I do not think anyone was totally convinced.
I expect Kath will remember all the fuss at the time especially as the whole village was affected.

Yes, indeed, it got on your shoes and everywhere, it was like grey chalk, we were worried about the water sources below Tilmanstone but they kept saying it had been treated, despite the smell.
