Anyone else hear them today at around 2.15pm,four quite loud rumbles which you could feel as well as hear and one smaller at the end all within a minute.I was out at River and a few people nearby heard them as well.Seemed to come from Canterbury way but could have been anywere.My mate has a garage in town and he said he had noticed it,was a very deep sound,seemed to come from some distance,anyone know what it was?

It could have been from the military training grounds? They've done that before at a more antisocial time and woke up most of Dover at 6am!

Think thats over at Alkham?,possible but seemed much more distant.My mate suggested it could have been the big gun that they occasionaly fire at Shoeburyness but i,ve heard that before from Sandwich and it never seems that loud.I wondered if anything was being demolished/blown up in the area?

It's really difficult to gauge, the military around here do create mystery noises at times, so who knows? Not aware of anything being demolished today?
